Practical Life Activities
This area of the environment is usually found near a child sized and fully functioning sink. There are many PRACTICAL activities that the child has seen performed at home in the daily care of their home and these activities allow the child to focus on purposeful activities aiding co-ordination and refinement of movement. Care of Self and the Environment is presented to each child in isolated activities individually or in small groups and then the child is given the opportunity to practise.
